Quartz van het Wuitenshof is quite a modern son of the breeding legend Kannan. He stands out with unlimited power, huge scope and a breathtaking hind leg technique. In the course he always shows a great attitude. It’s such a pleasure to show this competitive, natural showjumping talent born in Belgium. Just six years of age, he is already placed in international 1.30m-classes, has won several youngster classes and turned out to be a reliable clear round machine. Quartz is guaranteeing success, in the near future in youngster classes but also in the long term at the highest level.
Quartz‘ sire Kannan was a successful international showjumper ridden by Michel Hécart (FRA). There’s no doubt that he’s one of the most influential showjumping producers of his generation. He’s even won the WBFSH-showjumping ranking when his son Nino des Buissonets and Steve Guerdat (CH) became Olympic champions in London in 2012. Quartz‘ dam Evita is by the double olympic competitor Chin Chin (Jaime Azcarraga (MEX)) out of a dam by the olympic team medal winner Quidam de Revel (Hervé Godignon (FRA)). This Evita has three siblings performing in international showjumping classes, her brother Calvin vh Wuitenshof (also by Kannan) even jumped 1.60m-classes with Kent Farrington (USA). Everything’s going back to a prestigious damline with Hanoverian origins. This family has produced great talents all over Europe. Born in France, Patrice Delaveau’s iconic mare Katchina Mail and Peter Eriksson’s Olympic mount Jaguar Mail are among others part of it.
